Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Zhil and I am currently a student by day and artist by night. Or sometimes, vice versa.
After months of creative attempts and funny stories that go with them but few people get to hear, I have decided to start a blog and share it all with whoever finds it interesting.
"Ok", I hear you say "but art is such a broad term, how do I know what you do will interest me?" Well, I am glad you asked! What should you expect to see on this blog?
Well first, Bullet journaling! Even though I am officially only on my second journal, I have been doing something similar my entire life. Ever since I remember, I always had a notebook with monthly and daily duties. Last couple of months I have been decorating and organizing my BuJo to better suit my needs and encourage me to check in more often. If you join me on this journey, I will share my work and experience with you, and maybe we will even learn together.
Next, there will be a lot of scrapbooking. I tried scrapbooking for the first time only a month ago after seeing it a lot on Pinterest and YouTube and at first I didn't think I would be able to do it like that. But after only a couple of tries, I fell in love with it. I always say that it requires no skill, since all mistakes could be on purpose and are encouraged. It is a perfect way of learning what you love and perfect for me! :D
You will also sometimes see the process of creating my own stickers, which I then use in my bullet journal or scrapbook. This one is the most challenging for me, but also the most exciting. I know so little about the tools such as Photoshop or Illustrator, and even less about color and design. However, when I see my stickers perfectly fitting in with the monthly BuJo theme, the satisfaction makes it all worth it.
Lastly, I will share any other creative thing I do, tips to stay organized, ideas and plans. Anything that inspired me recently? You will know. Best tip I found on how to draw something? In the blog post. Want to laugh at my sad attempts to recreate something I saw online? You already know.
If any of this sounds like something you might enjoy reading, I encourage you to join me on this journey, where we will improve together and learn new things. Welcome!
