In my last post I promised I will share my secret penguin drawing technique as well as my weekly setup. And I didn't fail you! Here it is! Read my last post if you want to know more about how I chose the theme and how I did my monthly setup for February.

Weekly setup

As you can see, my weekly setup is quite simple - just mint color, stickers and washi, and a single penguin. Still, I feel like it's exactly the right amount of stuff not to be too distracting, and to improve my overall BuJo experience on the daily basis. This is also the first time I used a small calendar in the top left corner. Even though it bothers me a bit that it doesn't quite fit the color scheme, I did find it useful several times. I do plan to use it again in my future BuJo setups.

The sticker you see is part of the pack that inspired me to do this theme. I got them a while ago, but you can get them now on the link here. I chose this one because the crystals remind me of snow so it felt like it fits, however my other weeks have unrelated stickers from the pack. Still, I think they are quite beautiful. 😄

Finally, I want to share with you how I draw the penguin. In the clip, you can see the penguin from the weekly setup, however, the principle is the exact same for all other penguins I did in the theme.

First, outline with a pencil while looking at the pictures of penguins on Pinterest. You can see what pins I use as inspiration on the link here. Next, use black ticker pen or marker to color the penguin's body. If you didn't completely like how your pencil outline turned out, now is the time to correct it! And even if you make a mistake here (like I did), you can correct it with a corrector or white pen.

If you want to do the penguins the way I do it - with caps and scarfs, next thing you need to do is get washi tape. If your washi is similar to mine, it is more like a sticker than a classic tape. This means you can place it over your drawing and mark on it with a pencil, then erase it after cutting. If you want to get the same washi I have, you can get it on the link hereMake sure to mark right at the edges and then carefully cut it with scissors.

Next, draw the eyes with a black liner pen. Using a stencil of course! No way I can draw a perfect circle otherwise. Then draw the beak with an orange marker, and outline it with the same black liner. Finally, draw the feet or the ice skates, and color them. And lastly, glue the "flower" cutout as a pompom on top of the hat. And that's it!

And that's also it for this post! Sad it's over? No worries! I will be here soon enough - with more ideas and setups. Currently in plan is my March setup and some more scrapbook pages, so if that's something you are interested in, leave your email or follow me on instagram and tiktok @zhilopolis.
